Only Two Cavities

Lydia and Lukas went to the dentist today for the first time. Lydia needed to go for school and so we thought it was a good time for Lukas too. We have been preparing them for awhile so they wouldn't be scared. But you just never know how they will react when they get there, especially Lydia.
This morning, we keep telling them they were going soon. When it was time, we brushed their teeth and read a book about it. We just happened to have a Dora the Explorer book about going to the dentist that they got for Christmas so that was the book we read. Todd took them and they did great!! I guess Lydia even did her X-rays all by herself. She did need to hold Todd's hand when the dentist was cleaning her teeth, but that's OK. They even commented on how good Luke did because most kids his age aren't very good.
Lukas didn't have any cavities which is so good because I thought he would be more like his dad. Lydia just had two little surface cavities which is still good considering she is five and this is the first time to the dentist. Now Lydia is all ready for school. YEA!!

The COOLEST Stroller

Well, we have been in need of a new stroller because, even though the one we had was good, it was getting old and harder to push. We have been doing a lot of research and looked at lot of double strollers. We came across this one at a local store and fell in LOVE. It was great. It fit the two kids, Lukas and Nellie, perfectly and if we wanted to put Eli in it, it was great for him too. We were a little concerned about having a side by side but this one was great because it was a lot more compact then other we had seen. And man did it turn great! You could turn around so easily. This thing turns on a dime. It is a Baby Jogger City Mini. But of course, the store was out of stock. We got on their waiting list and this weekend they came in. We were so excited!! Todd just loves it because it is tall enough for him and I love it because I can push it with one hand and hold Lydia's hand at the same time. Now, we just need Disneyland passes!!

Happy 4th of July

Happy 4th of July!! We hope everyone had a great day. The kids had a blast. First, we went to a flag rising ceremony in the morning at the stake center. That was really cool because it really put us in the right mood. It helped us remember what the holiday really is for. Then, we went to our friend's house and had a waffle breakfast. The kids loved that because they get to run around with their friends for a little bit. When we got home, we went swimming. That was so much fun. Lydia just finished her swimming lesson and she is doing great!! She was still scared to put her eyes in the water so we bought her goggles. No problem now! She no longer needs her arm floaters. We are so proud of her! It was fun because Lyndsey was with us too. After naps and dinner, which Todd smoked a great chicken, we went to fireworks. The ward goes to this great place right across the street from the fireworks so we could see them great. Everyone did great but Nellie had to be in the little house that was on the playground. She need the security of four walls around her, then she could enjoy them. And of course, Eli sleep through the whole thing. It was such a great day being a family and remembering what a great country we live in!!

Oh My goodness, It's July!

I can't believe that it is already July, and I didn't write anything in June. What a crazy life it's been! Well, Luke turned THREE in June. I can't believe it. We had a quite but great birthday. He got a lot of cars and animals and best of all a bike. Now, he can be like Lydia. But his legs are a little short so he can't quite reach the pedals but he is trying. Before long he will be cruising around like a Nascar driver like he was in his walker when he was a baby. Oh, the memories from Maine!! Eli did have an appointment and he was 16.8 pounds and he is only four months old, and he was in the 90% for his length. My BIG little boy. He is growing so fast. But other than that, it was just a crazy month that just passed us by.
I hope that everyones has gotten a great kick start to summer. Hopefully, ours won't go by as fast a June went!!

Just Some Cute Pictures of the Kids

Here just some cute pictures of the kids. Todd was playing around with the camera at the dinner table. As you know Nellie is our little character!!

San Diego

We just got home from our family vacation to San Diego with Bagley side. We had so much fun. It was a great trip. We sent to Sea World, Wild Kingdom, and the San Diego Zoo. The kids just loved each park. Lukas has been a shark or a bear ever since. They had so much fun with their cousins, especially Lydia. Lydia sure misses her cousins and she loved being with them for a week. We had a blast down at the beach and going swimming. The kids loved the beach and I am still getting sand out of clothes and other places. We are so lucky that we were able to do this. These memories with be forever and we sure got a lot of them. We really enjoy being a family. Lydia was so sad when it was time to leave. She cried all the way home. She just kept asking if we all could live in San Diego, all the cousins. Now, she keeps asking when we are moving to Utah. Too bad we don't know. But we sure had a lot of fun with everyone and we love you all!! (Sorry about all the picutres!)

Luke was so excited as you can tell!!

Eli's Blessing

We blessed Eli on April 13. It was good but really sad because the only family that was there was Lyndsey because she is the only one that lives here. But it was good because our ward has really become our family. Todd did a wonderful job. We are so lucky to have him for a husband and father. Here are some of our pictures. Eli looks so cute. He is such a funny baby.

There are Balloons EVERYWHERE!!!

Todd and Zach blew up hundreds of balloons for April Fools Day and put them into Violeta's office. A few days later we came down and let the kids play in them. They had a blast! Lukas kept doing nose dives into them. He had so much fun. Nellie was a little freaked out by all the balloons, especially when we would lose her. Lydia just kept throwing them up to the air. They would have stay there all day but Dad had to go back to work.

Easter

Happy Easter!! I hope everyone had a great Easter, we sure did. After the kids found their Easter baskets and their eggs, we had a big breakfast. We had Belgian Waffles. It was a new recipe. I never knew that real Belgian waffles had yeast in them. They turned out really good. We had them with whipped cream and local strawberries. After church, we just had dinner and then went to the park to let the kids run around. It was just a lazy day. We really missed being with family, especially on holidays! But we hope that everyone had a great day.

Big Bear

Todd and I were dying to get out of the city last Sunday so we went up to Big Bear. It was so pretty. There was still some snow so that was fun to see. We just drove up and then drove back. It was too cold to get the kids out because they were wearing shorts and sandals. Here are some pictures we took.
