Halloween

I hope everyone had a great Halloween. We sure did. The kids had so much fun. Lydia was a witch and Lukas was a spider. Lydia did a little trick-or-treating but there isn't a lot of kids in the neighborhood so we only went to three houses. Well, the restaurant is officially open. We had a pretty good opening weekend and it gets busier everyday. We never see Todd because he is working so much but he loves it. He is learning so much. Lukas started rice cereal and he is doing so good with it. He eats a ton. We can't believe that he is old enough to be eating solids.
Well, we sure had a lot of fun with our parents. We were so sad when they left. But the memories are great. The kids had so much fun with them. Lydia sure enjoyed playing with everyone. She has been so happy since. We think because she knows she can still see family even though we don't live close to everyone.
I got a calling in the church this week. Actually, I got two. I was called to be the Achievement Day Leader and to serve on the Activities Committee. I am really excited. I think these will be good because they will keep me busy but not too busy because of the kids. We love our branch. Everyone is so wonderful. It's good because we are starting to feel home.
Well, that is all the is new with us. We hope everyone is doing good. We miss you guys so much. Love you all!!

Day in Boston

Hi everyone. We had a great weekend. Todd was able to get some time off so we decided to take a day trip to Boston. It was so cool. The city was so beautiful. We walked to Freedom Trail which takes you through most of the city looking at most of the historical sites. We saw Paul Revere's home and the church where he lit the signal that the British where coming. There were a lot of cemeteries and that was cool to see headstone of the 1700's. It was sad because on the headstones they wrote how old they were when they died and there were quite a lot that died in their 40's and younger. After we finished the trail, we went and ate a late lunch at Cheers. That was fun, but the food wasn't very good so you definitely go for the name. But you have to go at least once. We where then going to go to Fenway but there was a game and we didn't want to get caught in traffic because driving in Boston is everything we heard. It was awful. We decided to go to Cambridge and drive around Harvard. It is a beautiful campus. It was getting late so on our way home we went to the Boston Temple. That was amazing. It was so beautiful. But that was our day in Boston. We loved it. We were lucky because that was the only day this weekend that wasn't raining. The weather was so bad that the waves at the end of our street were crashing over the rocks. Todd went down there and took some cool pictures. Well, that was our weekend. Everyone is going good. Todd is getting busier and busier the closer the opening comes. We are all excited for the restaurant to open and not just for the food. We hope everyone is doing good. We love you all.

It's Fall in Maine

Hi everyone! It is starting to feel like fall here. The weather is starting to cool down and the leaves are starting to change. We went apple and blueberry picking this weekend. It was at a farm about 30 miles inland. It was so pretty. The countryside is AMAZING here. It is so beautiful to see all of the foliage. It felt like we were up in the mountains because there is a lot of pine trees and it is very thick with all kinds of trees. It was just so different because we had only gone a few miles from the beach and then we were surrounded by trees. It was just a lot of fun. Well, Luke is officially four months old and getting chubbier everyday. He has been gaining weight fast lately. He is becoming a little chub like Lydia was. And Lydia is getting taller and she is losing her baby fat in her face. She is starting to look like such a little girl now. Here are some pictures of the farm.

We love everyone and hope all is well.
P.S. We just got some sad news. Sienna has found other home. She is no longer ours. We will miss her VERY, VERY much. Just wanted everyone to know.

Nothing New

Nothing is really new here. We had a pretty rainy week so we didn't get out too much. I don't know how much better this week will be but hopefully we can get out and take some pictures of the landscape so you can see how pretty it is here. There are only a few leaves changing but before too long it will be so beautiful with all the different colors. The kids are doing good. Luke's personality is getting cuter and cuter everyday. Lydia is doing good but she keeps telling me she wants to see family. It will be good to have both grandparents coming out soon. We can't wait. Well, that is pretty much what's going on here. Next week, we will have more pictures of the whole family (even me!) Hope everyone is doing good. We love you all.

All is well

All is well here. We are doing good. Lydia is finally starting to get back to normal. She had a hard time adjusting to not seeing family but her pictures helped her a lot. Luke is doing really good. He is getting big. He smiles all the time and is starting to giggle. We think he might become a thumb sucker because whenever he finds it, he goes to town. But all is good here. We love our branch. Todd got a calling. He is the 2nd counselor in the Young Mens. He is really excited about it. It is a perfect fit for him. Nothing is really new with me. We have been going to the beach as much as possible because it is getting dark sooner and sooner everyday. Here are some pictures of the family.

Lydia is starting to love the beach. The sand and water don't freak her out as much any more. For her to walk on the sand, she still wears her water socks. But she is getting better.

Here are some cute pictures of Luke smiling and laughing.
This is the Portland Head Light. It is one of the most famous lighthouses in Maine.

Well, we love you all and hope everything is going good. Here is our e-mail address. We would love to hear from you. bagfam0509@yahoo.com

The journey out to Maine

This was the first picture we took. Lydia loves to look at her picture book.

After all the traveling in the car and walking around, it did not take much for Lukas to zonk out.

On our way across the country we made many stops. These are just a few of the pictures we took along the way.

We had alot of fun at each one of the stops we made. The spirit was so strong at the sacred grove, it was amazing. Nauvoo really hit it home when we saw where everyone lived and learned of the great sacrfices that were made by so many.

Here we are on the beach just foot steps fom our front door. We are having so much fun playing in the ocean. Lydia cant get enough. She even sat on the boogie board and went over waves.
There are lots of crabs and shells to find.

We love our new home but sure miss everyone.
